Steward's Report
Bump's Nugget and Bolta Neveelk collided soon after the start. Maggie Mikado and Railway Burra collided soon after the start. Sparky Neveelk, Zipping Hazel and Bump's Nugget collided on the first turn checking Zipping Hazel, Bump's Nugget and Maggie Mikado. Maggie Mikado raced wide on the first turn. Sparky Neveelk raced wide in the back straight. Railway Burra and Bolta Neveelk collided approaching the third turn checking Bolta Neveelk and Bump's Nugget. Sparky Neveelk and Maggie Mikado collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Sparky Neveelk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right pencil muscle, right triangle muscle and left sesamoid. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the Trainer Mr Gerry Kleeven regarding the greyhound's below market expectation performance. Mr Kleeven stated he was disappointed with the performance and that connections will be assesing the greyhounds racing future.
