MEETING COMMENTS :
Track Curator Mr C. Hiscock advised that the track was medium harrowed on 9 June 2019.

Marez Bale, Galloping Eddie, Sweet Harriet and Hadarah Bale were slow to begin.
Galloping Eddie and Sweet Harriet collided soon after the start. Flying Bella and Marez Bale collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Desire checked off Queen Harriet approaching the first turn. Flying Bella and Marez Bale collided on the first turn checking Flying Bella. Cheeky Jess visible eased and turned its head outwards on the first turn checking Lektra Desire and Queen Harriet.
Flying Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Cheeky Jess underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Buckley declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Buckley, the trainer of Cheeky Jess regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Cheeky Jess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Buckley pleaded guilty to the charge, Cheeky Jess is suspended for 28 days at Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
