Meeting Comments
Track Curator Mr T. Godfrey advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on Monday 25th February 2019.
Bakali Jet was quick to begin. Superior Pal was slow to begin.
Bakali Jet and Yanira Bale collided soon after the start. Humble Inquiry galloped on Bakali Jet approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Yanira Bale and Let's Roll collided several times approaching the first turn checking Let's Roll. Humble Inquiry checked off Bakali Jet on the first turn, severely checking Yanira Bale which lost considerable ground as a result and raced wide; checking Muza's Belle.
Humble Inquiry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated left hind toe and a spike wound to the left hind paw, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Yanira Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind achilles and paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Humble Inquiry a post race sample was subsequently taken.
