The outside temperature prior to this event was 23.2 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to this event when the greyhounds were retrieved was 19.6 degrees.
Eureka Creek and Quick Finance were quick to begin. Why Not Loz was very slow to begin 4 lengths.
Eureka Creek, Clark Road, Speckie Mckean, Little Lotta,Cassius Monelli and Mr. Delahoya collided approaching the first turn checking Clark Road, Little Lotta and Cassius Monelli. Mr. Delahoya and Cassius Monelli collided on the first turn. Speckie Mckean, Clark Road and Cassius Monelli raced wide on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms.K. Thorburn, the trainer of Fab Creates regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Fab Creates last raced on 26th August 2018. Ms. Thorburn stated that Fab Creates is returning to racing from being on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fab Creates trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 29.0kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.35, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.25 lengths. Fab Creates was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - For You Honey trialled over the 450m from box 4, weight 29.1kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.35, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 20.25 lengths. For You Honey was Not Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Double Cross trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.93, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Double Cross was Not Cleared due to the greyhound failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn. Stewards advised Mr. L. Green, trainer of Double Cross that if the greyhound fails to complete one more Satisfactory Trial, Double Cross would not be eligible to undergo further Satisfactory Trials for a period of 28 days pursuant LRR 38.1(f).
