Mr. G. Dailly, representative of Come On Pepper declared a new weight of 32.7 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Come On Pepper last raced at 34.1 kg's. 

Mr. G. Dailly, representative of Dyna Smokey declared a new weight of 36.5 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dyna Smokey last raced at 38.0 kg's. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Peach, the trainer of Mother Hannah regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mother Hannah last raced on 9th October 2018. Mr. Peach stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from being on season. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Mother Hannah a post race sample was subsequently taken.

The outside temperature prior to this event was 26.5 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to this event when the greyhounds were retrieved was 19.5 degrees.

Mother Hannah was quick to begin.

Cutlass and Come On Pepper collided soon after the start. Gala Bale checked off Dyna Darius on the first turn. Come On Pepper faltered on the first turn and was tailed off as a result. Mother Hannah eased on the home turn checking Cutlass. Mother Hannah pulled up as a result.

Come On Pepper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a monkey muscle injury to both forelegs, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Peach, the trainer of the greyhound Mother Hannah regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Mother Hannah was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mother Hannah with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Peach pleaded guilty to the charge, Mother Nature was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
