In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this event was deemed Heat Affected. The outside temperature when kennels opened was 21.5 degrees, the inside kennel temperature was 18.1 degrees.

Hook Along Flyer and Figment collided soon after the start. Hook Along Flyer and Dusty Dior collided several times on the first turn. Hook Along Flyer and Dusty Dior collided approaching the home turn checking Hook Along Flyer. Dusty Dior failed to pursue to lure with due commitment entering the home straight checking Hook Along Flyer.

Dusty Dior was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Borserio, the representative of the greyhound Dusty Dior regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dusty Dior with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Borserio pleaded guilty to the charge, Dusty Dior was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

My Raphael was quick to begin.

Badelaide Road was slow to begin.

Manila Mist was very slow to begin (3L).

Molly's Money was slow to begin.

Golden Aura was very slow to begin (3L).

Tekidanto checked off Pick Up Line approaching the first turn checking Molly's Money and severely checking You Jager. Tennyson Girl and Golden Aura collided approaching the home turn.

Mrs. J. Torr, trainer of Dancin' In declared a new weight of 28.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dancin' In last raced at 26.8kg.

Maximum Lara, Twilight Shae, Kamchatka Lenny and Belle's On Boost collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Banjo Fozz and Kamchatka Lenny collided on the second turn. Banjo Fozz and Twilight Shae collided approaching the home turn.

Larrikan Bozzie, Still Single and Rod Vader were slow to begin.

Lorella and Miss Terindah collided on the first turn. Tasvilla, Hammer Red, Lorella and Miss Terindah collided entering the back straight checking Hammer Red and Miss Terindah and severely checking Lorella. Hammer Red and Miss Terindah collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Hammer Red and Miss Terindah collided in the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to the late arrival of the greyhounds at the boxes.

Sunlit Breaker was quick to begin.

Seabrook Gem and Some Spark were slow to begin.

Sunlit Breaker, Crackerjack Roy and Pepper Rock collided on the first turn. Violet Blue and Seabrook Gem collided in the back straight and again approaching the second turn. Sunlit Breaker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and shin soreness in the right foreleg. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Little Dynamo was a late scratching at 10:13 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

I'm Orion was slow to begin.

April Jay and Lireva collided approaching the first turn checking April Jay. Winlock Blue Boy, Lireva, Dashing Diamond and Blazin' Bulla collided on the first turn checking Blazin' Bulla. Lireva and Dashing Diamond collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zambora Nozie.

Bob's Hammer was very slow to begin (3L).

Red Lagoon and Monaro Joe collided approaching the first turn checking Monaro Joe.

Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Duncan, the trainer of Acquire regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Acquire  last raced on 14th November 2018. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound had a change of kennel and seasonal spell. Mr. Duncan also declared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Acquire last raced at 28.4kg.
