Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Duncan, the trainer of Acquire regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Acquire last raced on 14th November 2018. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound had a change of kennel and seasonal spell. Mr. Duncan also declared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Acquire last raced at 28.4kg.
The outside temperature prior to this event was 32.6 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to this event when the greyhounds were retrieved was ? degrees.
Acquire was quick to begin.
Hagrid Grange was slow to begin.
Hagrid Grange and Awesome Freckles collided approaching the first turn. Rockin' In and Acquire collided approaching the first turn checking Rockin' In. Acquire raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
