Following the event Jakesta collapsed in the catching pen.  The greyhound was pronounced deceased by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon.  As a result Stewards ordered that blood and urine samples be taken and an autopsy be conducted in accordance with GAR 78.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Westerlo, the trainer of Flawless Bling, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Flawless Bling  last raced on 31 October 2018.  Mr Westerlo stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right elbow injury.

Little Pookie was quick to begin.  Undeniably was slow to begin.  Stylish Chief and Miss Gypsy Lee collided soon after the start, checking Stylish Chief.

Karise Fusileer was quick to begin.  Lightning Seven and Dyna Sarah collided soon after the start.  Digger's Cove and Half A Minya collided soon after the start.  Serendipity Man checked off Digger's Cove approaching the first turn.  Karise Fusileer, Half A Minya and Lightning Seven collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.
