Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to the Mr. W. Vassallo the representative of Panhandle Slim regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Panhandle Slim last raced on 29th September, 2018. Mr. Vassallo stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hock injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Straitline Willy.
Straitline Willy was slow to begin. Dr. Leonardo faltered and lost ground approaching the first turn. Ninetymile Turbo crossed in approaching the first turn checking Little Black Joe. Garrido and Little Black Joe collided on the first turn. Panhandle Slim crossed in on the first turn checking Velocity Whisper. Garrido and Little Black Joe collided on the first turn checking Garrido.
Dr. Leonardo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Weight Trial (Solo) - Victor Leone trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 30.7kgs. The time of the trial was 25.50. Victor Leone was Cleared.
