Premier Sticka and Airly Spence were slow to begin. Refresh, Trophy Trophy and Just Burning collided soon after the start checking Trophy Trophy. Premier Sticka and Trophy Trophy collided approaching the first turn checking Premier Sticka. Premier Sticka contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground. Just Burning galloped on Refresh on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Refresh and Trophy Trophy collided on the first turn. Zipping Josette and Airly Spence collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Zipping Josette checked off Airly Spence on the home turn checking Refresh, Premier Sticka and Just Burning. Just Burning checked off Refresh entering the home straight.
Premier Sticka was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and bruising to the left hind calf muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
