Stewards spoke to Mr. G. George, the trainer of the greyhound Got An Engine regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Got An Engine with marring. Mr. George pleaded guilty to the charge, Got An Engine was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Weetbix Jester and Ayo Joy were quick to begin.

Weetbix Jester and Hua Hin collided soon after the start. Hua Hin and Detroit Wally collided soon after the start. Hayley's Style and Hua Hin collided on the first turn. Cullquin Daario lost ground in the back straight and tailed off as a result. Spectra Style and Weetbix Jester collided on the third turn. Hayley's Style and Detroit Wally collided approaching the home turn. Spectra Style tired in the home straight.

Cullquin Dario was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Triple Agent and Proven Les were slow to begin.

Umar Allen and Winlock Blue Boy collided soon after the start. Umar Allen, Tat Scooby and Cullquin Cersei collided on the first turn checking Cullquin Cersei. Umar Allen and Winlock Blue Boy collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Italian Plastic, Mr. H. Manolitsis regarding his betting activities in this race.  Mr. Manolitsis stated that he hadn't supported the greyhound and was not intending to due to the expected short price of his greyhound.  

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Eyes On You, Ms. A. Terry regarding her scratching the greyhound in this event, Ms. Terry reported that the greyhound was scratched due to a serious wrist injury.  Ms. Terry has been requested to present the greyhound at Warragul on Tuesday 5th February. (GAR 23 (3)).

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Riveting Ms. K. Leek regarding her scratching of the greyhound in this event.  Ms. Leek reported that the greyhound was scratched due to a back muscle injury.  Ms. Leek has been requested to present the greyhound at Cranbourne tomorrow. (GAR 23 (3)).

Supplementary Report, 2/2/19

Trainer Ms K. Leek presented the greyhound Riveting as requested GAR 23(3).  On examination by the On Track Veterinarian the greyhound was found to have a left back muscle injury, this injury was consistent with the reason for the scratching of the greyhound from the Bendigo event.  In the opinion of the O.T.V it was considered to be a 14 day stand down injury.  Stewards spoke to Ms Leek in relation to her knowledge of any betting activities on the event.  Ms Leek stated she had not supported any greyhound in this event.  

Trainer Ms A. Terry presented the greyhound Eyes On You as requested GAR 23(3).  On examination by the On Track Veterinarian the greyhound was found to have a right wrist injury and a left chest muscle injury, the right wrist injury was consistent with the reason for the scratching of the greyhound from the Bendigo event.  In the opinion of the O.T.V it was considered to be a 14 day stand down injury.  Stewards spoke to Ms Terry in relation to her knowledge of any betting activities on the event.  Ms Terry stated she had not supported any greyhound in this event.  

Supplemenrary Report 9/2/2019

Stewards completed their enquiries into this event;  upon examination no irregular betting activities were found  by GRV investigators. Trainers K.Leek, A.Terry both presented their greyhounds as requested for Veterinary inspection and found to be injured. Manolitsis, Leek and Terry were all advised that no further inquires would be conducted pending the production of any new evidence.

Pay Day Brian and Placid Murphy collided approaching the first turn checking Pay Day Brian. Sandy's My Name and Bundarra Magic collided approaching the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Judge Judy trialled over the 425mts from box 4, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.74, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7L. Judge Judy was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mac's Mayhem trialled over the 425mts from box 8, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.74, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.25L. Mac's Mayhem was not cleared.
