Max Dancer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Bravo, the trainer of the greyhound Max Dancer regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Max dancer with marring. Mr Bravo pleaded not guilty to the charge, Max Dancer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.

Still Quick and Callister collided soon after the start.  Lektra Caution checked off She Will Bloom soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Flash Fernando brushed the running rail approaching the first turn.  Lektra Caution, Tessa Allen and Xela Allen collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Flash Fernando checked off She Will Bloom on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Still Quick checked off She Will Bloom approaching the second turn causing Still Quick and Xela Allen to collide checking Still Quick.

Our Mate Wilson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms D. Coleman regarding the performance of Our Mate Wilson in this event. Ms Coleman explained that the greyhound is new to the kennel however was confident the greyhound would be competitive in this event based on its last start performance. Ms Coleman added that the kennel would seek to race the greyhound in slightly shorter races before entering for the 725m distance again.

Circus Oasis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right chest injury, an abrasion to the left stopper and a spike wound to the right hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr P. Dapiran in regards to the greyhounds performance, Circus Oasis started at $1.40 favourite, Mr Dapiran stated that the greyhound was stepping up in distance and it was the greyhounds second start at the Meadows. Mr Dapiran further stated that the greyhound lacked track experience and received several checks throughout its run. Stewards accepted Mr Dapiran’s explanation.

Aston Aniston crossed wide soon after the start.  Kaylin and Pride Of Oasis collided soon after the start.  Bob's Brew and Zoro Bale collided soon after the start.  Penta Allen and Bob's Brew collided approaching the first turn checking Bob's Brew.  Penta Allen and Kaylin collided on the first turn.  Kaylin checked off Star Fever approaching the second turn causing Kaylin and Aston Aniston to collide.  Kaylin and Zoro Bale collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Star Fever checked off Go Slow Goldy approaching the home turn.  Aston Aniston checked off Go Slow Goldy on the home turn and again in the home straight.  

Flying Sam was a late scratching at 4.30pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Yappy Allen trialled over the 525mtrs from box 5, weight 27.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 30.59, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 1/4 lengths. Yappy Allen was Cleared.
