A pre race sample was taken from Split Chic.
Split Chic was quick to begin. Rocky Road and Klondike Gold were slow to begin. Eight Bells Toll, Scarecrow Tiger and Split Chic collided soon after the start checking Eight Bells Toll. Scarecrow Tiger and Split Chic collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Houston and Maximum Bliss collided approaching the first turn.
Eight Bells Toll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
