Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Mayhem Breeze.
Half Day Harry was quick to begin. Bro Wizard, Maximum Lara and Tat Barbie were slow to begin. Bro Wizard and Mayhem Breeze collided on the first turn. Some Spark and Tat Barbie collided on the first turn. Maximum Lara and Sergi collided on the first turn. Some Spark and Tat Barbie collided on the second turn. Maximum Lara and Sergi collided entering the back straight. Bro Wizard and Sergi collided entering the home straight. Half Day Harry and Onya Grover raced wide in the home straight. Tat Barbie marred Half Day Harry approaching the winning post.
Tat Barbie was vetted following the event. It was reported that that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Warburton, the trainer of the greyhound Tat Barbie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tat Barbie with marring. Mr D. Warburton pleaded no plea to the charge, Tat Barbie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
