Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr, S. Sinclair the trainer of Slick Diamond regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Slick Diamond last raced on 20/06/18. Mr. Sinclair stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hind toe injury.
Major Energy was slow to begin. Speedway Lass, Issy Keats, Slick Diamond, Simbarea and Brindle Ninja collided approaching the first turn checking Slick Diamond, Simbarea and Major Energy, Major Energy fell as a result. Speedway Lass and Issy Keats collided on the first turn checking Issy Keats and severely checking Simbarea. Brindle Ninja and Bloke's Advice collided on the first turn. Issy Keats and Slick Diamond collided approaching the home turn. Speedway Lass and Woodleigh Blaze collided approaching the winning post.
Major Energy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left foreleg and an abrasion to the right front toes, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
