Steward's Report
Tilley's Pie and Slick Maggie were quick to begin. Penny Black and Fifty Dollar collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Penny Black, Fifty Dollar and Billy Moran collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Swift Abbey and Tilley's Pie collided on the first turn. Tilly's Pie was checked off Slick Maggie in the back straight. Tilly's Pie marred Slick Maggie in the home straight.
Tilley's Pie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured back, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Churchill the trainer of the greyhound Tilley's Pie regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR69(1) Stewards charged Tilley's Pie with marring. Mrs. Churchill pleaded not guilty to the charge, Tilley's Pie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
