The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Matesy's Girl and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2.03pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr J. Hetherton was fined the sum of $100.

Super Spolly checked off Turbo Flutter soon after the start. Dyna Alexia crossed to the outside on the first turn, colliding with Omen Allen and Turbo Flutter, severely checking both greyhounds; Turbo Flutter lost ground as a result. Gnal Gnal Girl eased approaching the home straight. Super Spolly and Gnal Gnal Girl collided on the home turn. Super Spolly and Que Allen collided entering the home straight.

Turbo Flutter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Gnal Gnal Girl was vetted following the event and re-vetted following race 4. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Ms K. Houlahan,the trainer of the greyhound Gnal Gnal Girl regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Gnal Gnal Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms K Houlahan pleaded guilty to the charge, Gnal Gnal Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Iggy Wiggy and and Wadelock Venus collided approaching the first turn. Voluptuous Dot, Iggy Wiggy and Wadelock Venus collided on the first turn causing all three greyhounds to fall.

Voluptuous Dot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hind thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Iggy Wiggy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind fibula and left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Wadelock Venus was vetted following the event. It was reported that greyhound sustained an abrasion to the front left foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr S. Kipirtidis, trainer of Aladdin Prince declared a new weight of 34.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Aladdin Prince last raced at 33.3kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Wilcocks (representing trainer Ms J. Hampshire) regarding the length of time Staggerism has had between races. Staggerism last raced on 30.6.18.Mr D. Wilcocks stated the greyhound was resuming racing after recouperating from an operation.

Barcia Houdini, Zipping Dozer and Dewana Haand were slow out.

Barcia Houdini and Soda Flakes collided soon after the start checking Soda Flakes. Stylish Missile and Hashtag Spolly collided soon after the start. Stylish Missile and Staggerism collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Hashtag Spolly and Staggerism collided entering the back straight checking Staggerism. Stylish Missile and Zipping Dozer collided on the back straight and again approaching the home turn. Start The Show and Dewana Hand collided several times from the third turn to approaching the the home turn. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. B Dewan, the trainer of Dewana Hand regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Stewards questioned Ms M  Boyle regarding her failure to catch Stylish Missile in this event.  After taking evidence from Ms Boyle, Stewards charged M M Boyle wth a breach of GAR 48 for failing to catch Stylish Missile after being engaged by Trainer, Mr S Kyriacopoulos, to do so.  Ms Boyle pleaded guilty to the charge and after taking into consideration Ms Boyle's unblemished record under this rule for 11 months, fined her the sum of $100.

Diesel Turbo jumped in the air at the box rise and was slow to begin. Bergamo and Canterbury were slow to begin.

Lady Emerald and Python Pride collided approaching the second turn.

Mahjong World and Puffin' Stuff were slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Love To Dream trialled over the 311m from Box 1, The greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters.The time of the trial was 18.07, the greyhound won by margin of half a head.Love To Dream was Cleared. Trainer, Mr R. Divigilio stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the right hind toes and also a change of kennels.
