Miss Hanna Berry was quick to begin.
Jupiter Jones, Sergei, Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry collided soon after the start. Mo Daniher, Walkin' The Walk and Jupiter Jones collided approaching the first turn. Walkin' The Walk and Mandela Sun collided on the first turn checking Walkin’ The Walk. Mo Daniher and Sergei collided on the first turn. Mandela Sun failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and collided with Mo Daniher, Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry checking Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry. Mandela Sun and Sergei collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Pollutro, the trainer of the greyhound Madela Sun regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Mandela Sun was vetted and re-vetted following event 10. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mandela Sun with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mandela Sun pleaded guilty to the charge, Mandela Sun was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
