Steward's Report
Stewards issued a warning to Mr S. Kaltsis, the trainer of Sambucca Rose regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sambucca Rose.
Dr. Marshmellow was slow to begin.
Sambucca Rose and Double Black collided soon after the start. Little Freck and Pilot Pete collided soon after the start. Sambucca Rose, Pilot Pete and Bela Natali collided on the first turn checking Pilot Pete and Long Live Sid. Double Black and Bela Natali collided approaching the home turn checking Bela Natali. Pilot Pete and Long Live Sid collided on the home turn. Long Live Sid lost ground in the home straight.
Long Live Sid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
