Big Papa was a late scratching at 8.28am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Campbell the trainer of Lightfoot Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lightfoot Lass last raced on 23 June 2018. Ms. Campbell stated that the greyhound was resuming from injuries to both hocks.

Mr. G. Bartlett, trainer of Big Butterbean declared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Big Butterbean last raced at 30.0kg.

Tee Tee, Split Pea and Casper's Fantasy were quick to begin.

Tee Tee, Lightfoot Lass and Casper's Fantasy collided on the first turn.  Tee Tee and Jen's Magic collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Big Butterbean failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and again approaching the winning post. Lightfoot lass and Big Butterbean collided in the home straight.

Big Butterbean was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Bartlett, the trainer of the greyhound Big Butterbean regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and again approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Big Butterbean with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Big Butterbean was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lil' Miss Willow was slow to begin.

Acer and Lil' Miss Willow collided on the first turn checking Lil' Miss Willow.  

A post-race sample was taken from Ripplebrook Jess - winner of the event.

Banjo Sally was quick to begin.  Pink Tiara and Evelyn Allen were slow to begin.  

Bye Bye Brad and Jamie Marie collided soon after the start.  Bye Bye Brad and Shady Thief collided approaching the first turn.  Pink Tiara and Bye Bye Brad collided on the first turn checking Pink Tiara.  Mac Daddy and Jamie Marie collided approaching the home turn.  Pink Tiara raced wide on the home turn.  

Pink Tiara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury and a spike wound to the right hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. K. Smyth, trainer of Run The Route declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Run The Route last raced at 31.1kg.

Shortly after the start a malfunction occurred with the lure, which prevented the event from being completed.  Stewards declared the event a No Race in accordance with GAR 56 (1). 

Nostalgia fell entering the home straight and was subsequently vetted.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Swift Abbey.

Prior to the running of this event, Stewards and track staff thoroughly tested the lure following the malfunction from race 4. Stewards were satisfied with the lure and to continue with the remainder of the meeting. 

News Print and Swift Abbey were slow to begin.

Voluptuous Ruby and Harvey Warbanger collided soon after the start.  Timeless Rose faltered soon after the start lost ground and subsequently tailed off.  Nimble Lucy checked off Harvey Warbanger approaching the first turn.  We Love Spolly and Chase The Nugget collided on the first turn.  Voluptuous Ruby faltered on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Nimble Lucy and Swift Abbey collided entering the home straight.  Chase The Nugget and Nimble Lucy collided approaching the winning post. 

Timeless Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Voluptuous Ruby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring and left triangle injuries, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from News Print - winner of the event.  

Spazzy Blue and Popowski were quick to begin.  Benny's Entity was slow to begin.

Benny's Entity, Dr. Cadenza and Invictus Lawless collided soon after the start checking Dr. Cadenza.  Popowski and Adala Prince collided on the first turn checking Adala Prince.  Dr. Cadenza checked off Takaho Tiger on the home turn checking Invictus Lawless.

Miss Hanna Berry was quick to begin.

Jupiter Jones, Sergei, Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry collided soon after the start.  Mo Daniher, Walkin' The Walk and Jupiter Jones collided approaching the first turn.  Walkin' The Walk and Mandela Sun collided on the first turn checking Walkin’ The Walk.  Mo Daniher and Sergei collided on the first turn.  Mandela Sun failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and collided with Mo Daniher, Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry checking Spring Ace and Miss Hanna Berry.  Mandela Sun and Sergei collided approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Pollutro, the trainer of the greyhound Madela Sun regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Mandela Sun was vetted and re-vetted following  event 10.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mandela Sun with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mandela Sun pleaded guilty to the charge, Mandela Sun was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Weeona Bonnie and Rellim Diesel were quick to begin.  Surf In Vane, Go Didda Go and Mister Maker were slow to begin. 

Belisarius and Lektra Rival collided on the first turn checking Belisarius.  Belisarius and Mister maker collided approaching the home turn checking Belisarius.  

Stewards issued a warning to Mr S. Kaltsis, the trainer of Sambucca Rose regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Schatzie Armo was slow to begin.

Dr. Walter and No Passengers collided on the first turn.  Pistol and Rhyan's Return collided on the home turn.  Schatzie Armo checked off Ace Gone Wild in the home straight.

Primrose Diamond was slow to begin.

Miss Crazy, Spritely Malibu and Keno Bale collided on the first turn checking Miss Crazy, Keno Bale and severely checking Spritely Malibu.  Primrose Diamond checked off Striking Gold entering the home straight.  Galloping Ashley tied over the concluding stages.
