Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr S McDonnell the trainer of Garna Bolt, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Garna Bolt last raced on 28th April 2018. Mr McDonnell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right wrist injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Garna Bolt.
Manzeene Man and Garna Bolt collided soon after the start, severely checking Garna Bolt which fell as a result. Big Deal, Rayda and River Crossing collided approaching the home turn, checking Rayda.
Garna Bolt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left sartorius (pencil) muscle and to the left foreleg. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
