Stewards spoke to Mr S McDonnell  the trainer of Garna Bolt, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Garna Bolt last raced on 28th April 2018. Mr McDonnell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right wrist injury.

Supplementary Report Geelong Race 7 25/9/2018

On the 26th of September 2018, Greyhound Racing Victoria Stewards and Veterinary Staff conducted a kennel inspection at the property of trainer Ms J Fothergill. The inspection was in relation to the scratching of  greyhounds trained by Fothergill engaged in race seven at Geelong yesterday. The greyhounds Valdar Bale, Blackhaven and Jumbo Bale were all examined and found have injuries or received recent veterinary treatment consistent with the information Ms Fothergill supplied to Stewards regarding the scratching of all three greyhounds. 

Upon examination Blackhaven was found to be suffering from a right back muscle soreness.

Valdar Bale and Jumbo Bale had both received  veterinary treatment since nominations  closed and were found to be unfit to race.
