MEETING COMMENTS:

Track Curator Mr B. Skurrie advised stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on Monday 17 September 2018.

Kulu Lightning and Beckham were slow to begin.

Sisco Bella and Savannah Ash collided soon after the start. Pagan Dancer checked off Shanlyn Georgie approaching the first turn. Savannah Ash and Sisco Bella collided on the first turn checking Sisco Bella. Pagan Dancer and Savannah Ash collided approaching the second turn. Kulu Lightning galloped on Spectra Style on the third turn severely checking both greyhounds, which loss ground as a result.  Beckham and Savannah Ash collided entering the home straight.

Spectra Style was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind toe injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aeroplane Tippa and Sooki La Rico were quick to begin.

Ninety Proof and Molly Coaster collided soon after the start. Sooki La Rico crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Sapphire Power. Aeroplane Tippa checked off Sooki La Rico on the first turn. Why Not Grace and Superior Faith collided on the first turn. Aston Tobin and Ninety Proof collided approaching the second turn. Sapphire Power and Why Not Grace collided on the second turn. Superior Faith raced wide in the back straight. Aston Tobin and Why Not Grace collided approaching the home turn.

Yuko was quick to begin.

Feikuai Donna crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Why Not Peter, Dyna Xerox, Sisco Dun and Captain Jackie. Kulu Ozzie and Federal Impact collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Yuko and Feikuai Donna collided on the first turn. Captain Jackie and Sisco Dun collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Kulu Ozzie checked off Feikuai Donna approaching the second turn. Federal Impact and Why Not Peter collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds. Federal Impact marred Why Not Peter entering the home straight.  Federal Impact checked off Why Not Peter in the home straight.  Yuko and Feikuai Donna collided in the home straight.

Federal Impact was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Riley, the representative of the greyhound Federal Impact regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Federal Impact with marring.  Mr Riley pleaded guilty to the charge, Federal Impact was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Regazzoni was quick to begin. Pandora's Proof, Tankalicious and Bageera were slow to begin.

Dyna Penny and Alpha Midas collided approaching the first turn.  Dyna Penny, Tankalicious and Bageera collided on the first turn checking Dyna Penny and severely checking Tankalicious and Bageera.  

A post-race sample was taken from Hayley's Style - winner of the event.  

Alonso Mornay and Zipping Bomber were slow to begin.

Zipping Bomber and Hazelwood Flyer collided soon after the start. Black Impala, King Colt and Dyna Carmen collided on the first turn checking King Colt and Zipping Bomber. Rajasthan, Alonso Mornay and Sisco Ride collided on the second turn. Rajasthan and Alonso Mornay collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn checking Rajasthan.

A post-race sample was taken from Sisco Ride - the winner of the event.

Water Colour was slow to begin.

Blackjack Neo, Why Not Ginger, Dr. Mino and Nymphadora Tonks collided on the first turn severely checking Why Not Ginger, Dr. Mino, Nymphadora Tonks and Water Colour. Dr. Mino checked off Water Colour entering the back straight. My Bro Regis and Hone In collided on the third turn, My Bro Regis contacted the running rail and lost ground as a result checking Stirling Defence. Nymphadora Tonks checked off Why Not Ginger approaching the home turn checking Why Not Ginger. Why Not Ginger and Water Colour collided entering the home straight.

Trainer Mr G. Carter requested that Why Not Ginger be vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right front, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

My Bro Regis was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Doc's Reward.

Quest For Glory and Winnie Allen collided soon after the start. Quest For Glory, Winnie Allen and South of Eden collided on the first turn checking Winnie Allen.  Folding Green, Winnie Allen and South Of Eden collided entering the front straight checking all three greyhounds. Doc's Reward raced wide entering the front straight. Folding Green, South Of Eden and Doc's Reward collided on the second turn. Come on Colour checked off South Of Eden on the second turn. Winnie Allen and South Of Eden collided approaching the third turn.  Folding Green and South Of Eden collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Come On Colour.

A pre-race sample was taken from Alabar.

Aston Utah, Miriam and Alabar were quick to begin.

Panhandle Slim and Notorious Mac collided soon after the start. Tito Mojito crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Notorious Mac and Panhandle Slim. Aston Utah, Miriam and Alabar collided approaching the first turn checking Miriam. Panhandle Slim checked off Notorious Mac on the first turn. Notorious Mac and Miriam collided on the first turn checking Notorious Mac, Miriam and Panhandle Slim. Tito Mojito and Shanlyn Magic collided approaching the home turn. Aston Utah, Shanlyn Magic and Degani collided on the home turn. Aston Utah and Alabar collided entering the home straight. Tito Mojito checked off Aston Utah entering the home straight. Notorious Mac, Panhandle Slim and Alabar collided approaching the winning post.

Azkaban and Dyna Alistair were slow to begin.

Dyna Alistair checked off Idabelle Bale soon after the start. Azkaban and Idabelle collided on the first turn checking Idabelle Bale. Undisputed and Mepunga Zues collided on the first turn. Dyna Alistair and Idabelle Bale collided entering the front straight. Big Bang Tears and Dyna Wazza collided approaching the second turn. Dyna Wazza raced wide entering the back straight checking Big Bang Tears. Undisputed checked off Azkaban in the back straight. Azkaban eased, raced wide and collided with Big Bang Tears approaching the home turn checking Big Bang Tears. Dyna Alistair checked off Undisputed approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S. Thompson, the trainer of the greyhound Azkaban regarding the greyhounds racing manners appoaching the home turn.  Azkaban was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind spike wound, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Azkaban with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Azkaban was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dyna Wazza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind spike wound, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Delbridge, the representative of Dyna Wazza regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight. Mrs Delbridge stated that Dyna Wazza's racing pattern is to shift wide at that part of the track and did so in a similar manner at the track two starts ago. Stewards viewed the replay from 6 September 2018 and noted the greyhound did shift out at the same point of the track, and raced wide towards the 720m boxes. Stewards accepted Mrs Delbridge explanation and as such took no action.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs L. Delbridge, the representative of Dyna Wazza regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Dyna Maple and Real Simple were quick to begin.

No Excuse and Gehring Bale collided soon after the start.  Apache Flame and Jaclyn Bale collided soon after the start checking Jaclyn Bale.  Jaclyn Bale and Destini Cavalier collided approaching the first turn.  Gehring Bale checked off No Excuse approaching the first turn.  Dyna Maple checked off Vens Revenge on the first turn checking Apache Flame.  Dyna Maple and Destini Cavalier collided entering the back straight.  Real Simple and Vens Revenge collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nicky Neo.

Duke Of Burnley, Bourbski Bar and Weeona Dino were slow to begin. Caribbean Red was very slow to begin (3 lengths). 

Cibulkova and Striking Weetbix collided approaching the first turn checking Cibulkova, Striking Weetbix, Duke Of Burnley, Bourbski Bar and Caribbean Red. Cibulkova and Duke Of Burnley collided on the first turn severely checking Cibulkova. Nicky Neo and Weeona Dino collided on the first turn. Duke Of Burnley clipped the heels of Nicky Neo on the third turn and lost ground checking Striking Weekbix. Nicky Neo and Caribbean Red collided on the third turn checking Caribbean Red. Duke Of Burnley checked off Caribbean Red approaching the home turn.

Tom Riddle and Buddy Blinx collided soon after the start checking Tom Riddle. Buddy Blinx checked off See Ya Mate approaching the first turn.  Sticky Nicky and McNeo collided entering the back straight checking Scorching Lucy and severely checking Sticky Nicky and McNeo. See Ya Mate and Noaki Colour collided approaching the third turn. See Ya Mate eased approaching the third turn checking Noaki Colour and Scorching Lucy. Scorching Lucy, Buddy Blinx and Tom Riddle collided approaching the third turn checking Buddy Blinx. Sticky Nicky and Varuchi Pass collided approaching the home turn.  Sticky Nicky and Buddy Blinx collided approaching the home turn.  Varuchi Pass and Noaki Colour collided entering the home straight checking Noaki Colour and Scorching Lucy. 

See Ya Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mangion, the trainer of the greyhound See Ya Mate regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged See Ya Mate with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Mangion pleaded guilty to the charge, See Ya Mate was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
