A pre-race sample was taken from Ear We Come.
Ear We Come and Charlie Cockatoo were quick to begin. Superior Joyce and Ants In Pants were slow to begin. Charlie Cockatoo and Beau Gem collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Superior Joyce faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off. Beau Gem and Deadline collided approaching the first turn checking Deadline. Beau Gem and Ants In Pants collided on the first turn checking Ants In Pants. Ear We Come was checked off Charlie Cockatoo in the home straight.
Superior Joyce was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
