Steward's Report
Jayray Mazel Tov was a late scratching at 10.01am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration on the right foreleg. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Janray Dynamite.
Janray Dynamite was very slow to begin (4L).
Brindle Daisy, Shirdale Tom and Pink Tiara collided soon after the start. Brindle Daisy, Shirdale Tom and Superior Sam collided at the 300m mark. Shirdale Tom checked off Superior Sam at the 250m mark.
Janray Dynamite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the abdominal muscles. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Matthews, the trainer of the greyhound Janray Dynamite. Stewards deemed the performance of Janray Dynamite unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Janray Dynamite must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
