Lucky Louie checked off Regal Duke soon after the start. Delta's Tiara and Got Goosebumps collided soon after the start. Big Holiday crossed to the inside at the 300m mark and collided with Got Goosebumps, Delta's Tiara, Superior Primo, Regal Duke, Lucky Louie and Sweet Ambush, checking Big Holiday, in turn severely checking Got Goosebumps and Delta's Tiara. Superior Primo checked off Regal Duke at the 250m mark. Delta's Tiara checked off Big Holiday approaching the 200m mark. Regal Duke and Superior Primo at the 150m mark, checking Regal Duke. Got Goosebumps and Big Holiday collided several times from the 150m mark to the winning post. Lucky Louie, Sweet Ambush and Superior Primo collided several times from the 50m mark to approaching the winning post.

Dyna Eren and Shirdale Casey collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark. Chantilly Mack and Iona Roby collided at the 250m mark. Iona Roby checked off Dyna Eren at the 200m mark. Chantilly Mack crossed to the outside and collided with Kuzma at the 200m mark. Chantilly Mack, Kuzma and Shirdale Casey collided at the 150m mark.

La Caprice and Rhiannon Royale went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin.

Spotlight crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Firework Joey. Spotlight checked off Omen Allen at the 300m mark. Superior Uno and Col's Hope collided several times at the 200m mark. Urzael Harbinger and Superior Uno collided approaching the 100m mark. Urzael Harbinger, Superior Uno and Col's Hope collided at the 100m mark, checking Col's Hope. Urzael Harbinger and Superior Uno collided approaching the 50m mark. La Caprice and Rhiannon Royale collided approaching the 50m mark. Urzael Harbinger eased at the 50m mark.

Urzael Harbinger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild abrasion on the right stopper bone. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Matthews, the trainer of the greyhound Urzael Harbinger, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Urzael Harbinger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Matthews pleaded guilty to the charge, Urzael Harbinger was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Following the running of the event, Stewards were advised that there was no Catcher for Urzael Harbinger (No 4). Stewards subsequently interviewed licensed Catcher, Ms Yvette Howard, and following discussions with Ms Howard and Club Manager - Ms Cynthia O'Brien, Stewards established that two Catchers were involved in a vehicle accident outside the parameters of the racecourse requiring both Catchers to receive medical attention. Due to the circumstances of the matter, Stewards took no action. 

Jayray Mazel Tov was a late scratching at 10.01am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration on the right foreleg. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Janray Dynamite.

Janray Dynamite was very slow to begin (4L).

Brindle Daisy, Shirdale Tom and Pink Tiara collided soon after the start. Brindle Daisy, Shirdale Tom and Superior Sam collided at the 300m mark. Shirdale Tom checked off Superior Sam at the 250m mark.

Janray Dynamite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the abdominal muscles. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Matthews, the trainer of the greyhound Janray Dynamite. Stewards deemed the performance of Janray Dynamite unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Janray Dynamite must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jet Blaster.

Subscapularis checked off Degani at the 300m mark. Degani and Jet Blaster collided at the 250m mark and again at the 50m mark.

A sample was taken from Eye Got It, the winner of the event.

Destini Florida checked off Tamile Lass at the 300m mark. Kouta Gold and Alberto collided at the 250m mark. Destini Florida and Why Not Ginger collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark. Kouta Gold and Alberto collided several times from the 100m mark to the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms Michelle Mallia- Magri, the kennel representative for Burnout, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Burnout last raced on 17th of May 2018. Ms Mallia-Magri stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left hock injury.

Demand A Panda, Unexplainable and Ryder Sir were slow to begin.

Blackjack's Back crossed to the inside and collided with Unexplainable soon after the start. Burnout and Form A Circle collided soon after the start. Blackjack's Back checked off Ryder Sir at the 250m mark, checking Unexplainable. Unexplainable checked off Love Laughing approaching the 150m mark. Blackjack's Back and Ryder Sir collided approaching the 50m mark. Burnout and Love Laughing collided approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Demand A Panda, the winner of the event.

Out Of Competition samples were taken from Dyna Hunter, Startron, Raw Ability, Kouta Mayhem, Zoom Out, Hot Jean, Barooga Brett, Eye Got It, and Mayor Digby on 4 September 2018.

An Out Of Competition sample was taken from Swift Rain on 7 September 2018.

Dyna Hunter, Startron and Raw Ability were slow to begin.

Raw Ability and Kouta Mayhem collided at the 300m mark. Kouta Mayhem and Hot Jean collided at the 275m mark. Startron and Swift Rain collided at the 250m mark.

Samples were taken from placegetters - Kouta Mayhem (1st), Zoom Out (2nd) and Swift Rain (3rd).  

Reid Star jumped in the air at box rise and was slow to begin.

Pergamon and Crook Me Kindly collided soon after the start. Pergamon, Crook Me Kindly and Bombora Comet collided soon after the start. Dr. Murphy crossed to the outside and collided with Crook Me Kindly at the 250m mark. Pergamon and Bombora Comet collided approaching the 150m mark.

Unbackable was slow to begin.

Full Moon, Enzo and Why Not Bazzar collided soon after the start. Big Deal checked off My Fernando Tim approaching the 250m mark. Here's Tiger and Big Deal collided at the 100m mark. Enzo and Here's Tiger collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms Adele Powell, the trainer of Haboob, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Haboob last raced on 9th of June 2018. Ms Powell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left back muscle injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Early Special.

Why Not Senor and Nitroniun were slow to begin.

Why Not Senor checked off Superior Scotch soon after the start. Haboob checked off Superior Scotch at the 200m mark, checking Haboob. Superior Scotch and Why Not Senor collided at the 150m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Haboob was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Like A Fancy.

Feelin' Seedy was slow to begin.

Lanis Morris and Renegade collided soon after the start. Feelin' Seedy and Lanis Morris collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Feelin' Seedy. All You Got and Like A Fancy collided approaching the 200m mark. Feelin' Seedy, All You Got, Like A Fancy and Mallard collided at the 150m mark, severely checking Like A Fancy. Feelin' Seedy checked off Shake The night approaching the winning post. Feelin' Seedy and Mallard collided approaching the winning post. All You Got checked off Mallard approaching the winning post.

Following the running of this Event, the Sewards established that the TAB had incorrectly monitored the interim placings as 6-5-1-2.  Stewards contacted the TAB Control Room and were advised that this was an operational error on their part and  corrected the placings to 2-7-1-3.
