Inter Joe and Banyuatis were slow to begin.

Inter Joe and Due To Burn collided soon after the start. Banyuatis crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Due To Burn crossed to the inside soon after the start. Banyuatis checked off Janray Rastus approaching the 200m mark. Frangelico Miss checked off Inter Joe at the 150m mark. Golden Moon and Inter Joe collided at the 150m mark. Frangelico Miss checked off Golden Moon at the 100m mark.  Frangelico Miss checked off Inter Joe and raced erratically as a result. Inter Joe and Golden Moon collided at the 50m mark. 

Frangelico Miss was vetted and after being re-vetted following Race 8, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ruby's Boy was slow to begin.

Baby Max Fozz and Tinker Bess collided soon after the start checking Baby Max Fozz. Travel Easy, Daisy Me Diggin' and Lyria collided approaching the 250m mark checking Baby Max Fozz, Travel Easy and Daisy Me Diggin'. Baby Max Fozz and Daisy Me Diggin' collided approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Travel Easy and Lyria collided approaching the 50m mark checking Travel Easy.

Wild Vane was slow to begin.

Spot On Mick crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Offaly Black, Pectoralis and Inter Cody. Winlock Shakey and Spring Nugget collided approaching the 300m mark. Pectoralis and Spot On Mick collided at the 300m mark. Winlock Shakey and Inter Santini collided at the 200m mark. Winlock Shakey checked off Spring Nugget approaching the 100m mark checking Spring Nugget. Offaly Black checked off Pectoralis approaching the 100m mark checking Offaly Black.

Stewards opened an Inquiry into an escaped greyhound from the vicinity of the carpark area which ran on the outside of the track to the 350m boxes following the running of Event 3.  Stewards took evidence from GRV Steward - Ms D Barber and licensed persons - Messrs B Ender and D Pryce.  Stewards adjourned this matter to a date and time to be fixed to allow Stewards to consider the evidence tendered before them.

Mr G. Johnson, trainer of Merl's Michu declared a new weight of 33.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Merl's Michu last raced at 32.2kg.

Banjo Fozz and Kelly's Style collided soon after the start. Ninetymile Donny and Merl's Michu raced wide soon after the start checking Kelly's Style and Big Tilly. Kelly's Style checked off Big Tilly at the 200m mark.

Murrabit Benny was slow to begin.

Red King Prince and Wolfie's Squeeze collided soon after the start checking Red King Prince, Wolfie's Squeeze and Whiz. Hot Cruiser raced wide at the 250m mark checking Terrah Round. Red King Prince and Wolfie's Squeeze collided approaching the 200m mark and again at the 200m mark checking Red King Prince. Murrabit Benny raced wide at the 150m mark checking Hot Cruiser and Aston Jewel. Red King Prince and Wolfie's Squeeze collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark checking both greyhounds.

The Judge incorrectly semaphored the first three placings as 6-1-8 and corrected the placings to 4-6-1-8 before the All Clear was given.

Sketchy Skinny and Lonesome Spring collided soon after the start. Amani and Trapezius collided soon after the start checking Trapezius.

Hey Shaza Fozz was presented for racing today at a weight of 29.9kg. Stewards noted that the greyhound was cleared in a weight trial at Shepparton on 8th November 2018 at a weight of 30.1kg which was incorrectly recorded in FastTrack. Stewards were satisfied Hey Shaza Fozz presented today within the required weight range in accordance with GAR 39.

Invictus Lawless, Pop Do It and Glen Mika were slow to begin.

Oliver Cruise, Hey Shaza Fozz and Tzar Knight collided at the 300m mark. Hey Shaza Fozz checked off Uncatchable approaching the 250m mark. Tzar Knight faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off. Oliver Cruise checked off Uncatchable at the 200m mark.

Tzar Knight was vetted following the event.  It was reported that that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) steward D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Wolfie's Sook was slow to begin.

Aston Amore and Striker Vardy collided soon after the start. Ryder Sir, Inga Tom and Aston Amore collided approaching the 300m mark checking Inga Tom. Inga Tom and Aston Amore collided at the 300m mark checking Inga Tom. Maggie Mikado and Zipping Amber collided approaching the 200m mark.

Zipping Cisco was a late scratching at 8:15am due to a toe injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Miss Walt and Run Maggie Run were quick to begin.

Further Dreamer was slow to begin.

Annaley Flash and Luka's Choice collided approaching the 150m mark checking Luka's Choice. Annaley Flash and Wild Bandit collided approaching the winning post.

Azure Dragon was slow to begin.

Spring Shower and Hardaway Outlaw collided soon after the start. Alfie's Affair and El Grand Richo collided soon after the start. El Grand Richo checked off Miss Legality at the 250m mark. Azure Dragon and Spring Shower collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark. Crackerjack Des and El Grand Richo collided at the 150m mark. Crackerjack Des checked off El Grand Richo at the 50m mark.

Stewards fined Mr K Kelly the sum of $100 pursuant to GAR 44 for failing to have his mobile telephone turned off prior to the greyhounds being boxed for this event.

Super Stoked and Alonso Power collided soon after the start. Super Stoked, Here's Tiger and Miss Luna Girl collided at the 250m mark checking all three greyhounds. Here's Tiger checked off Miss Luna Girl at the 200m mark. Miss Luna Girl checked off Doran's Grove at the 150m mark. Miss Luna Girl and Alonso Power collided approaching the winning post.

Jupiter Asending and Cosmic Nosey were slow to begin.

Shogun Sammy and Fruit Frames collided soon after the start. Rose Of Dyanna and Scooby Boy collided soon after the start. Jupter Asending checked off Shogun Sammy approaching the 250m mark. Jupiter Asending and Shogun Sammy collided at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Jupiter Asending, Shogun Sammy and Fruit Frames collided at the 150m mark checking Fruit Frames. Rapana and Rose Of Dyanna collided at the 100m mark. Jupiter Asending and Fruit Frames collided several times from the 100m mark to approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Simply Smarter trialled over the 350m from box 1, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.52, the greyhound won by a margin of 4L. Simply Smarter was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr G. Kantzidis, the trainer of Crystal Bling regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Crystal Bling last raced on 28/2/18. Mr G. Kantzidis stated that the greyhound is returning from a right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Crystal Bling trialled over the 350m from box 2, weight 26.0kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.52, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 13.5L. Crystal Bling was Cleared.
