Seducing was a late scratching at 11.24am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards opened an inquiry into the bona fides of this race and in particular into the circumstances surrounding the nomination and scratching of Shining on 1 November 2018 and the nomination and late scratching of Seducing on 2 November 2018. Both greyhounds are fully owned and trained by Mr Vince Tullio. Stewards took evidence from Mr Vince Tullio in person and kennel employee Mr Brad Keel via telephone. During the course of the inquiry, Mr Tullio was directed in accordance with GAR 20 (3) (v) to produce veterinary certificates within 24 hours, for both Shining and Seducing. No further nominations will be accepted for these greyhounds, pending the Stewards satisfaction with these certificates. After hearing submissions from both participants, other avenues of inquiry were initiated, with samples being taken from other targets in this state. A full review of market fluctuations and betting analysis for this race has been requested by Stewards from GRV Betting Analysts and other sporting bookmakers. Both a post-race urine and a post-race blood sample were taken from Immediate, the winner of the event, which is owned and trained by Mr Vince Tullio. Due to the nature of the case and with several other lines of inquiry being pursued, the inquiry has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.

Hope To Wyn and Crackerjack Scot collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Crackerjack Scot and Rocket Jax collided on the first turn, checking Rocket Jax. Rocket Jax raced wide in the home straight.

Both blood and urine samples were taken from Immediate - the winner of the event.
