Breakout was vetted and re-vetted following Race 5.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury, left shoulder soreness and left hock sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Orson Allen, Apache Flame, Hasten Slowly and Not Available collided soon after the start.  Not Available and Crackerjack Skip collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Miss Splendamiro crossed out on the first turn checking Maurice Minor.  Apache Flame checked off Hasten Slowly on the first turn.  Orson Allen and Hasten Slowly collided approaching the second turn.  Apache Flame and Not Available collided approaching the second turn and again entering the back straight.  Crackerjack Skip clipped the heels of Apache Flame on the third turn.  Apache Flame faltered approaching the home turn and pulled up.  

Apache Flame was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards inspected the track following the event in the vicinity of where Apache Flame faltered. The track was good and suitable for racing.

Poco Dorado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Ms M. Finn the kennel representative of Poco Dorado was requested to report to GRV Stewards any further injuries that become apparent in the coming days, in accordance with GAR 75.

Supplementary Advice: GRV Stewards received an application from Ms M Finn under GAR 73(3) in NSW for a further Veterinary examination to be carried out on Poco Dorado. On 26 November 2018, Dr Matthew Kwong of Richmond declared Poco Dorado "fit and healthy to race". The penalty was reduced in accordance with this advice.
