Steward's Report
Mr G. James, trainer of Breakout declared a new weight of 32.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Breakout last raced at 34.2kgs.
Pre-race samples were taken from Panadero King and Small Rose upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Ask Me Now was slow to begin.
Onions O'Reilly and Urban Bourbon collided soon after the start. Marcello, Small Rose and Regazzoni collided approaching the first turn checking Small Rose. Onions O'Reilly, Panadero King, Marcello and Regazzoni collided on the first turn checking Panadero King. Marcello checked off Regazzoni on the first turn. Small Rose checked off Panadero King approaching the second turn. Breakout lost ground approaching the third turn colliding with Marcello and Ask Me Now. Urban Bourbon raced wide approaching the home turn.
Breakout was vetted and re-vetted following Race 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury, left shoulder soreness and left hock sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Post-race samples were taken from placegetters - Onions O'Reilly (1st) and Regazzoni (2nd).
