New Samsation and Eadie Gee were quick to begin. Morpheus was very slow to begin (4 lengths).
New Samsation and Eadie Gee collided on the first turn. Bob's Brew, New Samsation and Sparkling Jewel collided on the first turn checking Bob's Brew, Sparkling Jewel and severely checking New Samsation, Eadie Gee and Kintamani. Bob's Brew and Sparkling Jewel collided on the second turn checking Sneaky Pickle. Eadie Gee checked off New Samsation approaching the third turn checking New Samsation. Morphues and Sparkling Jewel collided on the home turn.
A post-race sample was taken from Miss Heart - winner of the event.
