Steward's Report

Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer, Mr Gerard O'Keeffe, stating that he had experienced transport difficulties, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Ringside at 11:48 am.

Bomber Creek and Nitro Value were slow to begin.  Prince Mark and Go Natalie Go collided soon after the start.  Riley's Paige, Go Natalie Go, Nitro Value, Pure White Evil and Rappa Flash collided approaching the first turn, checking Pure White Evil and Rappa Flash.  Go Natalie Go checked off Riley's Page on the first turn and fell, resulting in Nitro Value and Pure White Evil being severely checked and tailing off.

Nitro Value was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg toe injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pure White Evil was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg monkey muscle and left hindleg triangle injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Go Natalie Go was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left foreleg stopper.  No stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Bomber Creek - the winner of the event.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the behaviour of Mr Frank Meyer, the trainer of Go Natalie Go, near the starting boxes and in the kennelling area following the event. The inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
