Steward's Report
Solar Mocha and Emily Skye were quick to begin. Speed Alert and Atlantic Jewel were slow to begin. Speed Alert, Atlantic Jewel, Saint Ray and Crymelon Kit collided approaching the first turn, checking Atlantic Jewel and Emily Skye. Saint Ray and Crymelon Kit collided on the first turn, severely checking Crymelon Kit which faltered and tailed off. Atlantic Jewel and Dimora Bekim collided several times in the home straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.
Atlantic Jewel was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
After viewing both the lateral and head on footage, Stewards issued a warning to Mr Neil Jones, the handler of Atlantic Jewel, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
Crymelon Kit was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg biceps brachii injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
