Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer, Mr Gerard O'Keeffe, stating that he had experienced transport difficulties, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Start The Show at 11:49 am.
Casandra James, trainer of Tyche Diamond, declared a new weight of 30.1 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tyche Diamond last raced at 31.3 kgs.
Little Fernando and Nicmac Paddywack were quick to begin. Ballet Creek was slow to begin. Unique Portrait and Aston Atley collided soon after the start. Unique Portrait checked off Aston Atley approaching the first turn, checking Little Fernando and Ballet Creek. Nicmac Paddywack checked off Tyche Diamond on the first turn.
