General Missy and Krypto Jam collided soon after the start.  Harper's Hand checked off Ebonique on the first turn.  Que Allen and Why Not Leo collided on the first turn.  Why Not Leo and Ebonique collided approaching the home turn.

Why Not Leo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Red Queen was quick to begin.  Big Mary was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Galloping Wytee and Why Not Loz collided approaching the first turn checking Galloping Wytee.  Big Mary crossed to the rail approaching the first turn.  Line Trike, Red Queen and Fiesty Girl collided on the first tun checking Line Trike, Fiesty Girl, Mini Dozer, Big Mary and severely checking Red Queen and Why Not Loz, Galloping Wytee raced wide as a result.  Galloping Wytee and Why Not Loz collided on the home turn.  Fiesty Girl crossed out on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Jose, the trainer of Oscar De Lonhro regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Oscar De Lonhro last raced on 30 June 2018 and is returning to racing from a left metatarsal injury.

A sample was taken from Miss Zok Dee earlier today, during a kennel visit by stewards.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cee Me Shine.

Miss Zok Dee, Dyna Reaver and Cee Me Ignite were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Cee Me Ignite and Miss Zok Dee.  Dyna Marge and Miss Zok Dee collided on the first turn checking Miss Zok Dee.  Omen Allen and Dyna Reaver collided on the first turn checking Dyna Reaver.  Miss Zok Dee and Cee Me Ignite raced wide on the first turn.  Oscar De Lonhro and Cee Me Ignite collided on the first turn.  Omen Allen raced wide approaching the second turn checking Dyna Reaver and Cee Me Ignite.  Oscar De Lonhro eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the back straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Jose, the trainer of the greyhound Oscar De Lonhro regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight.  Oscar De Lonhro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left shin soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Oscar De Lonhro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jose pleaded guilty to the charge, Oscar De Lonhro was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Dex's Affair - winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Tao Tao earlier today, during a kennel visit by Stewards.

Riviera Cruz, Vanishka, Tao Tao and Ocean View collided on the first turn checking Riviera Cruz, Tao Tao and Trademark Rocky.  Riviera Cruz galloped on Vanishka approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Riviera Cruz and Trademark Rocky collided approaching the second turn.  Vanishka raced wide in the back straight.  Riviera Cruz and Trademark Rocky collided on the third turn.

Buddy's Entity was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Sooki La Rico was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr B. Dewan requested that Dewana Hand be vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained front right split webbing, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Fothergill, trainer of Buddy's Entity regarding the greyhound’s racing manner in the home straigh. Ms Fothergill said she was happy with the greyhound’s performance and didn't expect to win tonight. Stewards viewed all available footage and took no further action.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gaza's Rooster.

Rodeo was slow to begin.

Spazzy Blue and Gaza's Rooster collided soon after the start checking Gaza's Rooster.  Cee Me Entertain and Gaza's Rooster collided approaching the first turn.  Sapphire Power and Belleperi Miss collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Sapphire Power.  Galloping Rokyto and Spazzy Blue collided on the first turn.  Belleperi Miss and Gaza's Rooster collided on the first turn checking Belleperi Miss, Gaza's Rooster and Rodeo.  Belleperi Miss and Gaza's Rooster collided on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Cortese representative of Spazzy Blue and issued him with a severe reprimand regarding leaving the course without Stewards permission and checking the "Clearance To Leave Form". GAR 42(2).

Pink Floyd, Light The Track and Ivey's Affair were slow to begin.

Zipping Maisy checked off He Shall Johnny on the first turn.  Zipping Maisy checked off Pink Floyd on the home turn checking Pink Floyd.  Ivey's Affair raced wide in the home straight.

Buckle Up Leo was slow to begin.

Full Moon, Golden Romance and Zippy Zuri collided soon after the start.  Golden Romance checked off Buckle Up Leo on the first turn causing Golden Romance to contact the running rail.  Bigtime Bruce and Zippy Zuri collided approaching the home turn severely checking Zippy Zuri. Buckle Up Leo and Bigtime Bruce collided approaching the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Andrews regarding the direction that the greyhound Zippy Zuri be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Mr G. Carter, trainer of Why Not Hugh declared a new weight of 31.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Why Not Hugh last raced at 30.6kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Brandeen Bayley.

Jimmy Vella, Brandeen Bayley and Kouta And Cream were slow to begin.

A sample was taken from Goorawin (reserve in this event) earlier today, during a kennel visit by Stewards.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Cunneen, the trainer of Snip Snap regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Snip Snap last raced on 22 June 2018 and is returning to racing from a change of kennels, Mr R. Cunneen, also declared a new weight of 27.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Snip Snap last raced at 26.0kgs.

Roland View was slow to begin.

Luna Evening, Sub Zero Magic and Lady Alliance collided approaching the first turn.  Farfalla Nera and Evie Girl collided on the first turn checking Farfalla Nera.  Luna Evening checked off Lady Alliance on the first turn checking Sub Zero Magic.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - No Road trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 lengths.  No Road eased on the first turn and was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J. Collins, the representative of Zipping Bronze regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zipping Bronze last raced on 2 May 2018 and is returning to racing from injuries to both stopper ligaments.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Zipping Bronze trialled over the 311mtrs from box 4, weight 35.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.89, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 1/2 lengths. Zipping Bronze was Cleared.

Franklin, the trainer of Cullquin Panda regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Culliquin Panda last raced on 16 March 2018 and is returning from a right split metacarpal and change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Culliquin Panda trialled over the 311mtrs from box 2, weight 34.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 3/4 lengths. Culliquin Panda was Cleared.
