A pre-race sample was taken from Shanlyn Magic upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Sweet As Emm and Detroit Wally were slow to begin.
Weeona Bont and Zelzer Allen collided soon after the start and several times to the first turn. Pandaken and Zelzer Allen collided on the first turn. Sweet As Emm contacted the running rail on the first turn. Weeona Bont and Shanlyn Magic collided on the first turn. Pandaken galloped on Weeona Bont approaching the third turn checking Sweet As Emm and severely checking Pandaken, Shanyln Magic fell as a result.
Sweet As Emm was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Shanyln Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound right sartorius and right triangle injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
