Steward's Report
Stewards noted there was a discrepancy between the scheduled race time for this event between the Sky Racing rundown sheet (11:24AM) and GRV Fast Track (11:14AM). Stewards contacted Sky Racing and amended the starting time to 11.24AM and updated Fast Track accordingly.
Trainer Ms Mim Gilders was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers were produced for the greyhound Talkback Caller pursuant to GAR 33.
Friend In Me and Talkback Caller were slow to begin.
Talkback Caller crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Mr. Romantic which subsequently faltered and tailed off. Princess Spolly crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Cheeky Liana. Cheeky Liana, Princess Spolly and Swag collided at the 300m mark. Friend In Me, Princess Spolly and Swag collided approaching the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Talkback Caller and Wendy Maria collided several times from the 50m mark to approaching the winning post.
Mr. Romantic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected metatarsal fracture to the left hind foot. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
