Shearer's Call and La Caprice collided soon after the start. Go Maxi checked off Steel Toes at the 300m mark. Go Maxi and La Caprice collided approaching the 250m mark; Go Maxi eased and subsequently pulled up, taking no further part in the running of the event. Cosmic Ollie and Steel Toes collided at the 200m mark, checking Steel Toes. La Caprice faltered approaching the 100m mark and tailed off. Cosmic Ollie and Super Spolly approaching the winning post.

Go Maxi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury, and a revet was declined. Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Cortese, the trainer of the greyhound Go Maxi, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 250m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Go Maxi with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Go Maxi was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for three months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

La Caprice was vetted and revetted following event five. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sacro-iliac injury. A 14-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards reminded trainer Mr Joe Uglietta of his responsibilities to ensure that he obtains a clearance from Stewards prior to leaving the course, pursuant to GAR42(2).

A sample was taken from Reco Tonic, the winner of the event.

Stewards noted there was a discrepancy between the scheduled race time for this event between the Sky Racing rundown sheet (11:24AM) and GRV Fast Track (11:14AM). Stewards contacted Sky Racing and  amended the starting time to 11.24AM and updated Fast Track accordingly.

Trainer Ms Mim Gilders was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers were produced for the greyhound Talkback Caller pursuant to GAR 33.

Friend In Me and Talkback Caller were slow to begin.

Talkback Caller crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Mr. Romantic which subsequently faltered and tailed off. Princess Spolly crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Cheeky Liana. Cheeky Liana, Princess Spolly and Swag collided at the 300m mark. Friend In Me, Princess Spolly and Swag collided approaching the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Talkback Caller and Wendy Maria collided several times from the 50m mark to approaching the winning post.

Mr. Romantic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected metatarsal fracture to the left hind foot. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Deano's Mojo was slow to begin.

Hashtag Spolly and Broken Rules collided soon after the start. Mr. Fabulous and Deano's Mojo collided heavily at the 300m mark, checking Mr. Fabulous.

Got Goosebumps was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Rayza's Gadget and Or Right was slow to begin.

Mr. Long and Spolly's Jet collided soon after the start. Or Right, Master Faith and Master Winslow collided soon after the start, checking Or Right. Spolly's Jet crossed to the rail at the 300m mark, causing Master Faith, Master Winslow and Mr. Long to collide. Mr. Long checked off Duece Victorem at the 250m mark. Or Right crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Duece Victorem, checking Master Winslow and Or Right.

The start time for this event was delayed for three minutes due to operational matters.

Maxworthy was slow to begin.

Shawnee Jaguar, Maxworthy and Cheeky Fireball collided soon after the start. Cheeky Fireball and Striking Gold collided at the 250m mark. News Print and Tibby Shore collided at the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark.

Let Him Ride and Little Bala were slow to begin.

Cataleya and Full Moon collided at the 250m mark.

A sample was taken from Subscapularis, the winner of the event.

Trainer Ms Jess Fothergillwas fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers were produced for the greyhound Lunar Shadow pursuant to GAR 33.

Stewards inspected the track prior to the running of the event and directed the track be rematted.  As a result, this event was delayed 4 minutes.

Magic Moon Dust and Lanis Morris collided soon after the start. Gold Odessa crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Oaklands, Lanis Morris, Chardy and Lunar Shadow. Lanis Morris checked off Lightning Boxy at the 150m mark.

Stewards reinspected the track prior to the running of this Event with the Club Manager and deemed the track safe for racing.

Striker Vardy and Fred Dagg were slow to begin.

Cobber Victorem and Love Laughing collided soon after the start. Pergamon and Keep Talking collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark. Keep Talking checked off Pergamon at the 200m mark. Keep Talking checked off Fred Dagg at the 150m mark, checking Keep Talking. Pergamon and Love Laughing collided at the 100m mark. Fred Dagg, Pergamon and Love Laughing collided at the 50m mark.

A sample was taken from Mepunga Dasha, the winner of the event.

Kid Lavros was a late scratching at 10:22AM due to weight variation - overweight 1.2kg (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Peter Akathiotis was fined the sum of $100.

C Dalton, kennel representative for Wild Bandit, declared a new weight of 32.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Wild Bandit last raced at 30.6kg.

Wild Bandit was quick to begin.

Spolly's Flyer and Where's Lola collided soon after the start. Where's Lola crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark and collided with Silver Sky as a result. Silver Sky and Fargo Victorem collided at the 250m mark. Silver Sky checked off Spolly's Flyer approaching the 150m mark, checking Silver Sky.

A sample was taken from Jetson Princess, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr Adam Richardson, the trainer of Mepunga Reign, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mepunga Reign last raced at Geelong on 27 February, 2018. Mr Richardson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a shoulder injury. Mr Richardson also declared a new weight of 26.1kg for Mepunga Reign in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mepunga Reign last raced at 24.9kg.

Stewards spoke to Ms Kate Gieschen, the trainer of Sooty's Opal, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sooty's Opal last raced at Sale on 7 January, 2018 followed by a Satisfactory Trial at Traralgon on 5 February, 2018. Ms Gieschen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Mr Patrick Newell, trainer of Black In Town, declared a new weight of 25.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Black In Town last raced at 23.9 kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Amlin Miss.

Amlin Miss, Mepunga Reign and Almapa Gallucci were slow to begin.

Mr Jason Formosa, kennel representative for Valdar Bale, declared a new weight of 36.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Valdar Bale last raced at 34.1kg.

Compsognathus and Spritely Bob were slow to begin.

Mrs. Jawa and Iona Misty collided soon after the start. Spritely Bob galloped on Cersei soon after the start, causing Cersei to collided with Ryder Sir. Mrs. Jawa checked off Ryder Sir at the 150m mark. Compsognathus lost ground approaching the winning post.

Compsognathus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle and pelvic area. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Senor was slow to begin.

Redefined crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Scooby Boy and Scott Cosmic, and severely checking Tusksa, Samba Law and Redefined. Samba Law checked off Tusksa at the 50m mark.
