Steward's Report
Love Laughing was a late scratching at 10:54AM due to non-arrival following a phone call from trainer, Mr Mark Strahan, stating that he had transport difficulties (car break down). Love Laughing was stood down for 28 days and trainer Mr Strahan was fined the sum of $100, pursuant to GAR31. These penalties will be lifted if Mr Strahan can provide appropriate evidence of the breakdown.
Challis Sprite and Stacey Keeping collided soon after the start. Stacey Keeping and Oliver Cruise collided soon after the start. Challis Sprite checked off Uncatchable at the 250m mark, checking Uncatchable, Stacey Keeping and Oliver Cruise. Uncatchable and Oliver Cruise collided at the 150m mark. Uncatchable and Slipaway Bolt collided at the 100m mark. Oliver Cruise faltered at the 50m mark and crossed to the outside, severely checking Oliver Cruise, Uncatchable and Slipaway Bolt.
Oliver Cruise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
