Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Agent Barry.
Woodleigh Guy and Dobre were slow to begin. Another Shiner faltered soon after the start and subsequently tailed off. Wadelock Venus and Dobre collided approaching the second turn. Alexagal and Dobre collided approaching the third turn checking Alexagal and Cashino. Woodleigh Guy checked off Cashino approaching the home turn. Cashino and Alexagal collided in the home straight.
Another Shiner was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have mid thoracic vertebral body pain, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Bowman, the trainer of the greyhound Another Shiner. Stewards deemed the performance of Another Shiner unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Another Shiner must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
