Pure White Evil was quick to begin. Lance Allen and Little Big Shot were slow to begin.
Lil Miss Earner and Knocka Feller collided soon after the start, checking Lil Miss Earner. Kokoda Bobby, Little Big Shot and Lil Miss Earner collided approaching the first turn, checking Kokoda Bobby. Garick Olivander and Quick Step collided on the first turn. Lance Allen galloped on the back of Quick Step on the first turn, causing Lance Allen, Little Big Shot and Quick Step to fall.
Lance Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right . A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Quick Step was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both gracilis (back) muscles and bruising to the right gracilis muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from Pure White Evil, the winner of the event, and Knocka Feller, the second place-getter in the event.
