Steward's Report
Quilla Reef – Late scratching at 09:30am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to split webbing on the right foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Smart Talk was slow to begin.
Smart Talk underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil injury - A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Martin Galea regarding the racing manners of Smart Talk approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Galea, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections
