Brindle Daisy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left and right flexor tendon injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. M. Musselwhite, the trainer of Brindle Daisy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Cosmic Lucy,  Invictus Tilly and Soda Maxi were slow to begin.  Invictus Tilly, Soda Maxi and Star Rad collided soon after the start checking Soda Maxi.  Stilton Ali clipped the heels of Miss Hot Rocks approaching the first turn.  My Uncel Bob, Stilton Ali and Cosmic Lucy collided on the first turn checking My Uncle Bob and Stilton Ali and severely checking Cosmic Lucy.  Miss Hot Rocks and Invictus Tilly collided approaching the home turn.  Stilton Ali, My Uncle Bob and Soda Maxi collided entering the home straight checking Stilton Ali and Soda Maxi.  Cosmic Lucy and It's A Date raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards noted that there was approximately a 5 second delay after the green light was switched on at the boxes before the lure started, due to an issue with the catching pen staff attending to the catching pen flap.

Ashlee Star was a late scratching at 4.30pm due to Non Arrival/Car Breakdown (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will lift the 28 days and not issue a fine if the relevant documentaion is produced to Stewards within 48 hours.

Mrs. D. Johnston, trainer of Velocity Anifrid declared a new weight of 27.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Velocity Anifrid last raced at 26.4kgs.

Macalister Tiger was quick to begin.  Comets Gold and Wanjiro were slow to begin.  Rickett's Point galloped on Absolute Breeze on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Wanjiro and Drama Club collided on the first turn.  Comets Gold raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Tyler the trainer of Cosmic Collinda regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cosmic Collinda last raced on 28th March 2018.  Ms. Tyler stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after multiple injuries.

Bear Cabang was vetted after it fell approaching the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Flywheel Alfie and Swanny Flyer were slow to begin.  Aeroplane Tippa and Taabinga Flash collided in the back straight checking Taabinga Flash.  Aeroplane Tippa checked off Swanny Flyer on the second turn.  Riviera Cruz and Benny's Entity collided approaching the home turn.

Trey Smidge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left and right monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. J. McMahon, trainer of Dr. Cadenza declared a new weight of 31.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Dr. Cadenza last raced at 30.0kgs.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Gough the trainer of Cheeky Cricket regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cheeky Cricket last raced on 23rd February, 2018.  Ms. Gough stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.

Maderra was quick to begin. Miss kirteish and Urban Shiraz collided on the first turn checking Urban Shiraz.  Maderra and Dr. Cadenza collided on the first turn checking Dr. Cadenza.  Urban Shiraz raced wide in the home straight.  Dr. Cadenza checked off Maderra approaching the winning post.

MEETING COMMENTS:
