Amor Vincit was slow to begin.
Royal Solo and Mr. Delahoya collided approaching the first turn. Amor Vincit, Alexagal and Alta Linea collided approaching the first turn, causing Alexagal and Alta Linea to race wide on the first turn. Royal Solo and Mr. Delahoya collided on the second turn. Royal Solo galloped on Mr. Delahayo in the back straight, checking Mr. Delahoya which lost ground as a result. Heza Real Deal and Markinch Maid collided entering the home straight. Heza Real Deal and Alta Linea collided in the home straight.
Mr. Delahoya was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pectoral (chest) muscle, bruising to the left thigh and lacerations to the left hind leg. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
