Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Hoof It and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 4:42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. C. Watson was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Seabrook Eb.
Why Not Archie was quick to begin. Why Not Archie and Seabrook Eb collided approaching the first turn checking Seabrook Eb. Crackerjack Shak and Top Alcohol collided on the first turn checking Top Alcohol and Bella Express. Why Not Archie faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Crackerjack Shak, Bella Express and Top Alcohol collided approaching the home turn checking Top Alcohol. Bella Express and Seabrook Eb collided on the home turn. Bella Express raced wide in the home straight.
Why Not Archie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
