Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Storm Train and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 4:36pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms. D. Vigor was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sight Screen.
Trouble Brewing and Sight Screen collided approaching the first turn checking Sight Screen. Sight Screen checked off Riverdale Danger on the first turn. Riverdale Danger checked off Elsie Jean on the home turn. Riverdale Danger cramped in the home straight.
Riverdale Danger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Green (trainer) and Mr M. Abela, (representative) of the greyhound Riverdale Danger. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
