A pre-race sample was taken from Chevsta.
The start of this event was delayed by one minute, following a system issue with Fastrack which hindered the kenneling process.
Jockey Bale, Lochinvar Adore, Jai Jai Away and Furtado collided soon after the start. Jockey Bale, Flying Action and Furtado collided on the first turn. Teflon Toby and Lochinvar Adore collided approaching the home turn, causing Teflon Toby to fall. Furtado and Jai Jai Away collided approaching the home turn, checking Jai Jai Away. Jockey Bale and Flying Action collided several times in the home straight.
Teflon Toby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the right fore and hind legs, a three day stand down period was imposed.
Flying Action was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
