Jaimandy Joyce was quick to begin. La Vagabonde and Mashika collided soon after the start, checking Mashika. Lucas The Great, La Vagabonde and Mashika collided approaching the home turn, checking all three greyhounds. Lucas The Great raced wide on the home turn and collided with Mashika. Jaimandy Joyce raced wide in the home straight.
Lucas The Great was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor lacerations to the left and right forelegs, a three day stand down period was imposed.
