Steward's Report
Panther Lane was very slow to begin (3L). Black Lad and Evil Pedro collided soon after the start. Evil Pedro and My Name's Hayley collided approaching the first turn. Krisbar Wee Wow and Black Lad collided on the first turn. Kraken Chloe eased approaching the home turn, checking Panther Lane. Evil Pedro and My Name's Hayley collided approaching the home turn, checking Evil Pedro. San Remo Lass checked off Krisbar Wee Wow entering the home straight. Panther Lane and Evil Pedro raced wide in the home straight.
Kraken Chloe was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Eyles, the handler of the greyhound Kraken Chloe, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Kraken Chloe with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Eyles, who declined to have the greyhound revetted, pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Chloe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
