Steward's Report
Prior to race 4 outside temperature 32.7 degrees, kennel temperature 19.1 degrees.
Miss Peanut and Greysynd Sofi were quick to begin. Twilight Shae and Emgee Sprinter were slow to begin. Greysynd Sofi and Spirit Bar collided approaching the first turn checking Spirit Bar. Spirit Bar, Twilight Shae and Larrikan Bozzie collided on the first turn checking Twilight Shae and Larrikan Bozzie; Larrikan Bozzie fell as a result. Greysynd Sofi checked off Spring Shower approaching the home turn. Trapezius raced wide on the home turn.
Following Larrikan Bozzie falling on the first turn, the greyhound regained its feet and jumped the inside rail. The greyhound ran across the inside of the track towards the home straight and continued to run along with the lure and the field approximately 6 metres on the inside of the rail. Following the completion of the event, the All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards to review the race, a public announcement was made. Stewards were satisfied that Larrikan Bozzie did not affect any other greyhound in the event and therefore did not affect the result and the All Clear was given.
Larrikan Bozzie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left hind hock region. No stand down period was imposed.
